  1. This old Cathedral Radio was originally modelled for a projection
  2. screen show accompanying the 1994 ADDY awards presentation in Columbus,
  3. Ga. (they needed something onscreen while the radio award nominees
  4. were being played). Since we just needed one frame (it was keyed over
  5. video of searchlights and other Hollywood stuff), we weren't really
  6. concerned with rendering time.  But if you use it in an animation, I'd
  7. highly recommend you replace the procedural texture of the wood with
  8. an image map of mahogany to save on rendering time.

  10. The surfaces which use image maps are the tuning dial, the grille, and
  11. a few metal parts.  The first two maps are included, while the metal
  12. parts use the fractal reflections map included with the Toaster.
